Forty years of the Bayada Regatta, Senior Team Trials and training galleries, and the occasional best boat name features--still lots to catch up on here, even in the dog days of the summer
And Speaking of Dog Days
The regatta and launch dog scene was strong this month:
and so was the Ice Bath game at the Bayada:

Most Exciting Job at the Regatta?
Speaking of regatta volunteering, row2k got in on the act at Trials as well. It's been a while since row2k did full bore start-platforming duty, but it had to be done; Thanks to USRowing intern Noah for thinking to set us up with a radio and to the officials for waiting for us to get back in position to do our real job of taking photos. We used to do it all the time, including climbing out on the fingers ourselves, but the last time we did this the officials sent the crews as soon as we moved the fingers out while we watched them row away with cameras at the other end of the dock--which to be honest is why it was the last time we did it...

World Class Quad Carrying
row2k is deep into galleries from all the Worlds-bound crews we;ve visited this past month, and we did catch the guys in the USA Men's quad showing off a bit:
But don't try this at home, kids--or at least, not when any coaches or cranky boatman who are sure it will damage the boat are watching.
Got Dunkin'?
Might be the most "riding in a launch on the Charles" pic ever, eh?

We even got a wave between races--good to see you, Igor!--and you can catch his POV over on Instagram:
Got Wheels?
The launches at Briones sport some pretty sweet sets of wheels to make them easier to roll back up into the boathouse after each row:
Of course, it helps if your launch lackeys are Olympians:
Sign Spotting
Some of the neighbors up in Conshohocken really put some effort into their anti-rowing sentiments:
And this sign, up at Riverside BC, did make us wonder: can geese read signs?
If they can, sure would make things easier than most other anti-goose hacks we've featured, whew.
